Third grade received their donut treat from Madi Burma yesterday for collecting the most pop tabs during the pop tab war for her FCCLA Ronald McDonald House project. Way to go third grade!!!!

Preschoolers turned the classroom into a campground today!
They went on a nature hike and used their senses to understand the beautiful outdoors, they were explorers, photographers, capturing the world around us!
The kids worked together and built their own fire, they talked through ideas, came up with a plan, problem solved, they even decided to use a light inside to make it feel more real.
They gathered sticks for s’mores, sang camping songs and even got to sleep in the tent “under the stars” at naptime!
They wrapped up the day with a cute tent and campfire food craft.

📚🍕 A First for Iroquois—Book Tasting Success! 🍕📚
Taylor hosted Iroquois’s very first Book Tasting as part of her Focus on Children STAR Event, and it was a hit!
After surveying teachers who work closely with literacy, she discovered students needed more exposure to books. From there, she selected a variety of genres and carefully chose books for our 6th and 7th graders to explore.
With a fun pizza-themed setup, students rotated through tables featuring historical fiction, fantasy, thriller, non-fiction, mystery, graphic novels, and adventure. Each table had 6 books, and students had 5 minutes to “sample” before moving on.
The best part? You could hear the success throughout the room every time a student asked, “Where can I find this book? I want to read it!” 📖✨
The next step for Taylor is to complete her presentation to present at the State Leadership Conference about this engaging and meaningful experience that got students excited about reading. 👏
