Iroquois school participated in the statewide tornado drill this morning. Each class has a designated area they go to in the case of an actual tornado.




Easter dinner scheduled for lunch tomorrow will be postponed. We will have hamburgers for lunch tomorrow!!  GO CHIEFS!!

The HOSA members are holding a 50/50 raffle board to help raise funds for their trip to compete at the HOSA International Convention this summer!! The winner will receive $1000!!!! Help them reach their goal of having the board full by Tuesday, April 11th so they can announce the winner at their HOSA Awards night that night. You may contact any HOSA member, Daphne Moeller or Jodi Burma to purchase your $20 square.


You are invited  to  the HOSA Awards night on April 11th. Be there when the members find out if they will be competing at the International HOSA convention this summer!!  Everyone is welcome!!


NO SCHOOL in Iroquois today, 4-5-23.  Due to lack of power in some areas there will be NO ELEARNING as well.  Make up day for this snow day will be April 28.  Be safe as there is no travel advised in much of the area.  Have a great day.  GO CHIEFS!!

Announcement regarding HOSA event on Saturday!!
Due to forecasted weather we are pushing back the vendor fair on Saturday to 11:30-4:30! 
Easter egg hunt will stay at 11:30 & canvas painting at 1:00.

State Testing Grades 6, 7, 8, and 11
State testing will start on Monday, March 27th for grades 6, 7, 8, and 11.  ELA testing will be March 27-30.  Students will use headphones for a portion of the ELA test.  They may bring their own āwiredā set to plug into their computer if they have them.  Otherwise, we will provide them.
Math testing will take place April 3-6.  No headphones are needed for this test.  
Science testing is only required for grades 8 and 11.  Testing will be April 17-20.  No headphones are needed for this test.
If a student is absent during any of these dates, make-up tests will be given as soon as possible upon the studentās return to school.  
Please make sure your child eats nutritiously and is well-rested during testing!

To promote seat belt use and safe driving, the South Dakota Department of Public Safetyās Office of Highway Safety and South Dakota Broadcasters Association are giving away another $20,000! One South Dakota teen will win $10,000 plus another $10,000 for a school-sponsored activity or program at their school. This program is in itās 7th year. 
 
To enter, students can take a two-minute safe-driving quiz at LessonLearnedSD.com by April 15, 2023. I would encourage every student to take advantage of this opportunity.  Letās work together to keep young drivers and South Dakota roads safe!
