Second graders became engineers today during science! They were given notecards, scissors and paper clips to build a tower that could hold the weight of a pack of notecards. They had a lot of trial and error but then had some successful towers!
A representative from SURF (Sanford Underground Research Facility) gave a presentation to the elementary students this morning. She will also be presenting to the middle and high schoolers today! Thank you for teaching us about this facility that is in our very own state!
Girls basketball cheerleaders along with some football sideline cheerleaders taught 17 girls at the Junior Sharks cheer camp on Monday night. . They learned a dance and two cheers that they performed Tuesday night during the doubleheader basketball games!
Fifth grade students built perches for their friend Harry today, so he could easily see around the room. The students worked in teams to complete the challenge. The only supplies they could use were given to them by Mrs. Stroud. They tried to get him as high above their desk top without putting Harry's safety at risk!
Kindergarten made volcanoes during Mystery Science today!
