Good afternoon MS/HS Students and Parents: this is a reminder that we will be having a student help day on Friday. Any student who is failing or has missing assignments on Wednesday at noon will be required to attend. Parents if your student will be required to attend we will call you Wednesday afternoon to make arrangements to get them here. We will be using the school vans to pick up out-of-town students. Any student is always welcome to attend as well.
Mr Wipf's senior government class made a trip to Pierre this last Wednesday. They met with their local legislators, sat in on a committee meeting, and sat in on the senate afternoon full session; where they received a standing ovation from the senate! Additionally, it just so happens that Governor Noem called a joint session that afternoon as well, so they were able to sit in on that as well. That never happens in the middle of the legislative session, so they were fortunate enough to be there to witness history!
Teacher candidate Ms. Wipf, from SDSU, led the personal finance class in the "UNFAIR GAME" to review for an upcoming test.
Come support our young entrepreneurs on Tuesday, February 6th. Here is just some of the amazing products that will be for sale!

High School Students: The Winter Formal in Lake Preston has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 3rd from 7:00pm - 10:00pm
The twenty members of the IPAT team, along with Ms. Bohlander and Mrs. Dant, spent two days attending a Natural Helpers training here at the school. Dodi, from the Human Service Agency from Watertown, spent these two days teaching our students the skills they may need to help their friends and also when to know when they may need to seek the advice from a trusted adult. They practiced their newly learned skills through role playing and games. It was a great training, and the students now feel more confident in their abilities to help anyone in need.
